Christine Byrne is the features editor at SELF and the recipe developer for SELFstarter. She has a culinary degree from the French Culinary Institute in New York, and spent several years working in NYC restaurant kitchens before transitioning to food media. Her recipes and writing focus on simple, everyday cooking, and she’s all about balancing healthy habits with real life. Even as a seasoned cook, she doesn’t want to spend tons of time in the kitchen, so she’s constantly searching for the quickest, most efficient way to get delicious food on the table. When she’s not cooking (or writing about it), she loves strength training, sleeping, and walking or biking all over New York.
